I’m off to learn what oceanographers in the real world do! I’ll be helping a team of scientists take observations, on a boat! We’ll be pulling out five moorings that have been monitoring the East Australia Current and doing seventeen CTD profiles on the way (particulars).

Wondering where we are? What the ob’s are like? Is Chris being swallowed by house sized waves? You can follow the boat here.
Curious if I’ve seen Marlin, Dory, Crush and Squirt? (Finding Nemo). Wondering how much weight I’m losing in spew? I’ll be sending live tweets from the ship; keep an eye on my twitter feed.
